About API Sambalpur
Sambalpur is the principal city of this region with a rich heritage of learning and culture. We have the second oldest Medical College of the state from where most of us have graduated and have done our specializations. With the ever changing and constantly evolving science of medicine the need to get updated was sorely being felt. What we lacked was a forum to give us the support.
It was in the second half of 2023 that we mooted the idea of having a branch of the Association of Physicians of India at Sambalpur. We took the help of Dr A Murugnathan, a past API President who unflinchingly helped us in getting us the necessary permissions from our Headquarters at Mumbai to form a Branch here.

Greetings from the API Sambalpur City Branch! As the new Honorary Secretary, I am honored to carry on the outstanding work of our previous team, which included Dr. Ashok Singh, our founder chairman, Dr. Sagnika Tripathy, our immediate past chairman, and Honorary Secretary Dr. Atanu Thakur.I want to carry on the tradition of scholarship and fellowship to a new degree under the direction of our new chairman, Dr. Alekh Pr.
